Hello! I am a native English speaker just finishing a degree in Modern Languages from the University of Bristol, specifically in Russian, German and Czech. I am new to professional translation work, but more than ready to take on new challenges!
I am native Czech speaker, freelance translator and interpreter. I do mostly general, business, legal, medical and technical translations. I am also experienced in website translations, product description and marketing translations. I can do upto 6.500 words a day.
I studied BA Filmmaking in London. During my 11 years stay in London I started working as an interpreter for few companies. I was interpreting to clients in hospitals, clients in social services and on art exhibitions.
I have been also tranlating and proofreading projects, documents and surveys from English to Czech, Czech to English, English to Slovak, Slovak to English in number of London based call centres, and other types of businesses and individuals.
Nowadays I work as a freelance translator.
My translation career started in automotive industry with a long-term collaboration with Alcoa Fujicura Company, an Alcoa group member. Majority of work for this company comprised of translation of EHS documentation (Environmental Health and Safety), interpreting of internal and external audits in the field of EHS, etc. At the same time, several other translation jobs followed. Currently I have been cooperating with Lumos, a J.K.Rowling foundation, translations and interpreting for Lumos concern many areas, primarily child protection, social work, deinstitutionalisation, etc. Other collaborating NGOs are Foundation for Holocaust Victims and Centre for Integration of Foreigners - social work. Nature and Landscape Protection Agency of the Czech Republic is another client of mine - the areas of translations are nature protection, national parks, foreign aid, etc. All of the aforementioned clients and jobs prevail in my portfolio, there are many more smaller assignments, too.
For past few years, I have been working for several companies working in international business. I've worked on a variety of projects from retail, e-commerce to e-publishing. My job consisted of copywriting and writing in general in three languages - Czech, English, and German - translations and interpreting.
I've just started as a freelance translator but my experience in English writing, translating and editing go back to when I still studied university. Although I cannot provide many examples of my paid work to portfolio due to confidentiality of the material, I will be adding other material I translate for my own use.

I've been born to German-speaking Austrian parents but was raised in English-speaking Canada. Due to this fact and to the fact that I competed my Master's in Austria, I am fluent in both languages and am fond of translating from German into English. Since 2000, when I started my translator's career, I've managed to translate millions of words in a great range of fields, from fiction to medicine.

I have been translating since 2006. During that time I have gained quite a lot of experience and references, so you can rely on quality of my work. I observe correct technical terminology and, to make the translation sound natural for its recipients, I use suitable collocations.
I would be pleased to work on your texts about tourism, economics, marketing, information technologies as well as technical manuals or legal contracts. You can also entrust me with translations of your university theses, personal or business correspondence, company websites or, for example, video subtitles.

Writer, Hansard editor, focus on proofreading and clarity. Born in Canada, studied physics until I realised 'crop science' would make a life of travel easier, left for Mexico at 16, have lived in Europe most of my adult life (Israel, Germany, Spain, Czechoslovakia, the UK).
I am a medical student always looking for new opportunities. Besides studying sciences my greatest hobby is learning languages. I love travelling, reading books and all kind of articles and, of course, translating, proofreading and editoring.
Czech native speaker, fluent in English and Spanish, working proficiency in Slovenian.
My academic background is in Marketing (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia) with experience in Admin Support, Web Research, and Social Media management.
I have been working as a freelance translator since 2015 and since then I have worked for clients from all over the world on a wide variety of translations including websites, marketing texts, e-commerce, legal contracts and certificates, business letters, and manuals.
I am comfortable using Google applications, Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. I am used to working with distant-communication tools.
I guarantee accuracy, professional attitude and commitment to meet deadlines.
I am a Third Culture Individual with over 5 years of experience working as a proofreader, editor, and translator of texts on various subjects and in various fields including, but not limited to: the automobile industry, IT, government institutions, political research, academia, business administration, marketing, legal studies, religion, philosophy, the humanities, political science, and real estate. Although I am bilingual, my English is at a higher level than my Czech due to spending my developmental years in an English speaking environment. Though I am a Czech national, I was granted qualification as a native English speaker when I applied to study at an international university in Prague on the basis that a native language is one that someone was exposed to from birth or within the critical period (the latter, of course, is my case). Therefore, I have a deep understanding of both languages, with an emphasis on my mastery of English.
And welcome to my profile. To quickly intruduce myself i'm a young freelance translator from Czechia with main focus on B2C marketing transcreation/translation. Quite frankly, my second highest prioroty are somewhat boring and dull technical manuals, which could be considered exact opposite. Even though you won't find much similarities in those two fields, their advantage is their difference, and therefore, I'm able to work with almost anything inbetween.
My rates are based on my past experience, fairness to the customer and regard to competition, though, if you are non-profit organisation we could negotiate discounted rates
If you have any questions, requests or anything, contact me and I will respond ASAP.
Whether you decide I'm a good fit for you or not, have a wonderful day,
I started volunteering as a freelance interpreter back in 2013, and finally got some work experience 2 years later. I've been doing freelance and privately contracted work for about two and a half years now. I have an advanced level fluency in Slovak, though I speak Czech and Russian very well also. The languages I've worked with most are Slovak and Czech, but because I'm in Moscow, I'm doing a lot of Russian right now. I prefer translating from other languages into English, but I'm willing to work either way.
I am from a new generation of people. That means I am very comfortable with slang AND formal english. Right now I am a student of VUT in Brno, Faculty of civil engineering, more precisely Surveying. I also have a lot of hobbies like history, politics, sport, psychology, philosophy and bit more. Because of this I read a lot of english forums about such problematics and take a lot of interest in the translation of these texts. Also I find very irritating the way that some Czech translators do their work. Don't get me wrong I don't have a lot of expirience, but even I can see, that in a lot of translations is very visible, how little the translators understand what they are reading. That's where i wanna make a difference. I do a lot of research before translating, but ofcourse I work hard, fast and correctly. But I guess you will have to see for yourself.
Thank you for reading and I look forward to maybe working for you or with you!
Have a great day! :)
