I work as translator since 2008. My daily capacity is approx 2,000 - 3,000 words for translation, resp. 5,000 words for proofreading. It depends on the text. During my translation career I have worked with user manuals, technical documents, financial statements, computer games, marketing materials like PR, HR documens, leaflets, surveys, web pages, sport interviews, personal letters, books, travel guides etc... I do not translate natural sciences like physics, chemistry and law.

I have been working as a translator and a proofreader since 2010 (e. g. for Booking.com, Czech publishing house Host, Leos Janacek Museum of Music, Alterna music club etc.) thus I believe I have rather a lot of experience. I am very used to work on projects with strict deadlines. I am familiar with MemSource translating software. I just like languages and I enjoy looking for different nuances in meaning and style.

I am a professional Czech linguist offering complex translation & related services incl. review, monolingual proofreading, post-editing, transcription, etc. I have excellent command of the target language, attention for detail and linguistic nuances. Hi! I'm Kasya and translation is my life's work. I have been doing it since 2006, first as a hobby and then professionally after graduating from Charles University in Prague. I was born in Russia. Currently based in Czechia. Since I was a teenager I have mediated between two cultures and it became my job. I have the advantage of being bilingual (Czech&Russian). My philological background helps me to capture the context and grasp every nuance of meaning. Understanding the mindset allows me to adapt texts to the target audience. I specialize in translation for the Internet space: e-commerce, SMM, marketing, SEO translation, localization of websites, apps, software, captions, subs, video, etc.

12 years of experience with in law, business, and software (UI & UA) and website localization. Background in law and linguistics, excellent command of Czech. External university teacher of legal translation, CAT tools, and translation business and marketing. Over 10 million words translated.

English is my second language but half of my family is German. Since I do not speak fluent German, we communicate in English since my childhood. I am very confident in speaking, writing and reading. I consider myself bilingual.
