I'm a nomadic translator and project manager. I moved to Panama in 2010 and from there I went to work in advertising and translation agencies in Florida, Los Angeles and São Paulo, which along with my pre-law bachelors degree in International Relations and minors in Film and Hispanic Marketing, helped me gather enough knowledge to translate anything from contracts to technical documents. I also taught Legal English for two years and translated a mystery novel last year, my main focus nowadays is contract, general translation, DTP, project management and medical translations and transcribing. I have experience as a designer as well, and can work with any file format for Adobe products, WordPress, most e-mail marketing tools, and digital marketing tools.
My experience in foreign languages began over 20 years ago. I acquired fluency in English after a one-year student exchange program in the USA. I have been a professional in the field of language off and on since 2004, when I started teaching EFL. I
graduated in psychology in 2009 and I currently work as a clinical psychologist in private practice. My knowledge in languages and translation was especially deepened during the four years in which I studied full-time to join the Brazilian Foreign Service. In this period I was tutored in English and Portuguese composition, translation and summarization by some of the most renowned teachers in the country.
My fields of expertise are social and humane sciences (especially psychology), environment/ecology, religion, art, tourism and travel.
Hi, how y'all doing? I've got a bachelor's degree in International Relations and a MBA in Market Intelligence, and have had the opportunity of living and working in multiple countries (Canada, US, Australia, Mexico, Spain, Brazil). I'm currently a proud partner at a languages-coaching company called Avoante, and have also always worked with translation, initially just focusing on my own needs, which in time evolved into helping friends, and finally clients, in a more of a professional role.
Apart from running the company, I also teach English, and Spanish (from time to time). Regarding my language skills, I take great pride in my vocabulary and the ability to talk about any topic with anyone, as a naturally curious person, I'm always trying to learn more and find the answers to all sorts of questionings and doubts.
It will be my pleasure to discuss your translation needs, be sure I'll help you in any way I can.
