I've been in translations/linguistics since 1997, millions of words, vast experience, a great lot of fields, I've worked for Google, Airbnb, governments (local and states), just name it. I'm fond of languages. I can speak English (of course), French, Russian, some German, Norwegian, Chinese and even Ukrainian. I've studied Icelandic and am familiar with Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Faroese. Localization/CAT tools: starting from routine tasks such as bilingual files prep and post-processing and ending with deployment of custom-tailored translation memory servers using SVN or GIT technologies. I've been born to German-speaking Austrian parents but was raised in English-speaking Canada. Due to this fact and to the fact that I competed my Master's in Austria, I am fluent in both languages and am fond of translating from German into English. I have been dealing with several different professions so far. At the beginning I worked as a teacher at Primary School. Then I worked for a company in whcih I was responsible for hte following issues: - -Making payrolls. - entering invoices in the books, - drawing up and sending documents and e-documents to governmental offices, - translations (written and oral) and interpreting (during business meetings). Year later I began to work for my present job where I mainly have similar duties as in my previous job but, apart from them, I had to master some more: - maintaining good business relations with current business partners, - accepting and fulfiling purchase orders, - coordinating the whole process from the order to the shipment of a given product, - coordinating shipments, - finding new business partners worldwide, - keeping export documents, - participation in international trade fairs.
