I am a student at Brigham Young University. I am majoring in Portuguese and minoring in Translation and Localization. I have worked as a translator and project manager for Mormon Insights (a BYU website that publishes religious articles) for 4 months.

I've been in translations/linguistics since 1997, millions of words, vast experience, a great lot of fields, I've worked for Google, Airbnb, governments (local and states), just name it. I'm fond of languages. I can speak English (of course), French, Russian, some German, Norwegian, Chinese and even Ukrainian. I've studied Icelandic and am familiar with Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Faroese. Localization/CAT tools: starting from routine tasks such as bilingual files prep and post-processing and ending with deployment of custom-tailored translation memory servers using SVN or GIT technologies. Briefly, I love everything related to languages.

I am a freelance Portuguese to English translator/content writer. I specialize in the social sciences and IT/Software development. I am currently based in Ireland, but I have spent many years living in Portugal. I have five years professional experience as a software developer and I remain up to date in the area. I am especially interested in R programming and data visualization. Native English speaker with 10 years of experience translating into English (5 as a full-time translator), an Undergraduate degree in French and Portuguese from the University of Leeds and a Masters in Translation. I also have 9 years of experience teaching English as a second language and have worked as a copywriter for 1 year in-house, and 4 years as a freelancer.
