Translation from Spanish to Basque

My name is Eder and I am a translator and communications officer based in Madrid, Spain. I am a native speaker of Spanish and Basque, and I am proficient in English (I lived and studied in the United States for a few years). I have broad experience as a localization professional and as a trilingual content writer, with a strong background in proofreading and copy editing. I've graduated from a Translation and Interpretation Bachelor's degree at the University of the Basque Country. I've also studied for 5 months in the Lomonosov Moscow State University. At university we were specialized in translating legal, administrative and economic texts, but I also have experience translating IT texts. I've also been trained to translate audiovisuals and literary texts.

I am a native Spanish and Basque speaker and professional translator and proofreader. I have over five year's experience translating and proofreading documents in different areas. I am a flexible, reliable and honest person and I will work hard to deliver the high quality translations in a short time.

I have always been very passionate regarding to languages and, although I work as a freelance professional translator since 2018, I have been practicing a lot before during five months in an internship in Zador Language Center and I have been teaching German and English to both adults and children during another one year. Besides, I have translated the Ikea website to Basque while being in a translation team and I usually translate and revise texts for companies such as Juguettos, Hayas, Summa Linguae, Mosaik Traducciones or Fidelia Linguistic Solutions.

I've studied in the University of the Basque Country and I've studied abroad in the Moscow State University (Lomonosov). At university we were specialized in translating legal, administrative and economic texts, but I also have experience with IT texts. I've also been trained to do audiovisual translations and literary translations. I can translate from English, Russian, Spanish and Basque to Spanish and Basque. Depending on the difficulty of the text, I can also work with English as target language. My native language is Spanish, but I've studied in Basque all my life, so my reading and writing levels are almost bilingüal.

I am a fourth year Translation and Interpreting student looking to gain some works experience.

I am a young student of a degree of translation and interpretation and I would like to apply for jobs that can give me valuable practical knowledge. I believe I am a fast and flexible worker. My main interests include arts and philosophy, but politics and general pop culture are subjects of my liking. I have spent the past two years mostly reading and writing in English about those topics to improve my level and skills, which is why I feel confident with technical translations of that kind, along with writing in both informal and formal language and structures.
