Being trilingual (French/English/Spanish) and practicing for about twenty years, I speak, write, read, and listen to all three languages on a daily basis. Being very curious, I take interest in any translation project, convinced that they all have something interesting to them.
As a former journalist, I was able to acquire excellent editorial abilities and aptitudes in word choice. This position required having very good skills in grammar and orthograph, it now enables me to avoid a number of mistakes in translation as well as efficiently detecting them in proofreading. My passion for languages is at the very heart of my activity. I therefore bring the best care possible to my translations and work not only with great pleasure, but with the idea that each translation will be better than the previous one, regardless of its complexity.
After my translation studies, I decided to follow the wind until South America. Inspired by several experiences of volunteering in the Amazons, I am a defender of the environment and dream everyday of endless trees and fierce lifeforms. As a contemporary dancer, I intend to use any scenery as my stage in order to share this passion: the street, cultural centres, schools... My third passion is writing: I have just published my first novel, Voir les astres s'éteindre, at Editions Maïa (France). It made me think I could embrace a wider professional range and this is how I started copywriting and Wordpress integration.
My natural preference in translation lies toward contents requiring writing skills (marketing, press, tourism, etc). However I also have experience on technical, institutional and judicial translations. Generally speaking, I am curious about everything and keen to start a prompt research on any subject. A translator keeps learning every day!
I am a professional translator, with 12 years of experience in interpreting and translation in a variety of fields, such as engineering, pharmacy, medicine, agriculture, veterinary, etc., working both for domestic and international clients
I am a French native freelance translator with more than six years’ experience from Spanish to French. My scientific education (engineering degree of INSA Toulouse, 2003) is a key factor for a right understanding and translation of technical documents. I completed this scientific formation with a Spanish linguist master’s degree (University of Toulouse Jean Jaurés, 2015) in order to perfect my redaction capacity.
I translate approximately 2 000 words per day.
My translations are high quality (two bilingual proofreadings, two unilingual proofreadings, Word and CAT tool checking for spelling and grammar and quality control XBench).
