Hello, hello everyone. Give me please just one moment to add our speakers for today. My colleagues, they are here. And we will start in just two minutes maybe not longer. So Eugene is here with me hydrogen good. Didn't Hello? Ah, sorry. I know what's the problem? You can turn on your camera? Yeah, I guess. One second. Yeah, I know. What should I do? Yes, now you can. Great. And we'll wait for Jen look. Yeah, some problems connecting. Sorry if you didn't get on get to turn on your camera. I cannot see you. Yeah, there we go. And Lucas here. Great. Okay. Okay. Yes. Finally,

Jean-Luc Saillard 01:54
not a not ideal, but you know? Yeah.

Kate Vostokova 01:58
Okay, so, um, I think we should start before is yours, I would maybe just add to command. I think this session will take no longer than 30 minutes. Of course, we save some time for your questions at the end. So feel free to raise your hand, for example, you can you can either write your question in the chat, or if you want to just ask it live, raise your hand, I will turn on your microphone. And you can you can ask anything you want to know about marketplace and how to use it. But before that, I think Janet will tell you all the details or show you the demonstration and everything. So yeah, that's it for me, isn't it? Your time?

Jean-Luc Saillard 02:41
Perfect, thank you. So let me share my screen, and then we can start the webinar. Okay, so anyway, good afternoon, or good morning, or good evening, depending where, where you located. So as Kate said, like, you know, what we want to present today is the market marketplace and how the we can help you find better language professionals, you know, to work in your organization, you know, either to if you want to expand, for example, or if you want to find new artists, participants in your team. So, the presentation, before we start, I think it will be pretty interesting for everybody to have a quick demo on how US market works, you know, so before we talk about the benefits, let's just show you quickly how you're going to be able to use SmartCAT, to find translators that you need for your projects. So here I'm taking you into a an account. And I'm showing you, my team, the people that have in my team currently, and I have already some translators, but it might happen that in some cases, I have, like, you know, for example, a spike and I have a big projects that don't that's coming up, or I don't have any one with a specific specialization for transition that is needed. So I want to go and then explore the marketplace and see if I can find someone that matches the skills that are required. Or maybe I have some constraints on the pricing, you know, so I'm going to go into my team member page. And then I'm going to go into the find freelancers tab and find freelancers tabs is going to allow me to search through all the translators that have in SmartCAT, you know, so let me just, I'm going to look for a English into Spanish translator. And for the for this demo, I think it's gonna actually be quite practical because we're working with a preset, you know, demo account. But you can see when I'm searching for translators into the marketplace, you know, you displayed you know, some translators are going to be listed by recommendation, but you can also search them on depending on their weights, a number of projects completed number of translated words translated and you can see when I'm looking for English into Spanish translators. On the right side, I can, in fact, also add some additional options for filtering. Like know, for example, I want people that are native in Spanish, you know, by default, can also switch for people that have specific subject matter, you know, into the into the marketplace. And if people have been like, you know, tested or certified by other users, and other options, like, for example, find out if someone is online at this moment, if they provided a portfolio that I can look over is it daytime in their location. And I also want to be able to search by all dialects, you know, so for some languages, like for example, Spanish, it's a specific case, you can want to search for people that provide a specific dialect. And finally, you can also do a search on the report, you know, so for example, as I mentioned earlier, if you have a budget constraints, you could say, show me on the translators that are less than, for example, eight euro center words, you know, so those will be options that you would have in the in the marketplace to find people that match your current requirement. Now. There's also something we'll discuss a little bit further, when we talk about the benefits of the marketplace, you can see here, I have an option to create some test projects, you know, so you find some translators that match your requirements, you can screen the people, you want someone that's native, you want someone for a specific subject matter. But before you hire someone, you have multiple options. First of all, as we're going to show, you can communicate with the people that are on the marketplace directly from the marketplace. That's one thing. Second of all, if you haven't found someone specific that you want to work with, you know, you look through the profile, and you see all the little people that really match your requirements, you can in fact, create a test project, you know, which is going to then invite the people that you've screened into the into this page into a test project will, you'll be able to upload a document for testing and then SmartCAT will create the project inside your account, and you'll be able to review the quality of the test transition. So this is something you can in fact, do directly from the from the marketplace page. Now, for this exercise, actually, I know that I have like someone, you know, in particular that I want to work with, you know, simply because she has a pretty profile picture, you know, but Katarina, here, she does some transition from English into Spanish, and I heard some good things about her. So actually, I'm going to dwelve into go into her profile. And you can see there some in the profile, there's all the different services that you provide, or availability is also listed, right? Not unexpected, but to be off in the in the coming days, there is also some personal details, you can see, obviously, someone well known from a TV show, she has also some work experience that's quite interesting. I'm not sure if it's going to apply to the projects that are ongoing, you know, but those are the attributes I could see into profile. Now, what I can do at this stage is that I can in fact, directly from the platform, communicate with Kate, and even ask her some questions. So here I can see I have an option in her profile to say send a message that's going to take me into the chat page. And then from here, I can simply just like you know, you know, ask Kate some question, locate I have a big project, you know, would you be interested, you know, so I could just like, you know, type in, you know, the question here, and then directly into the, the application, and then a Kate will see this document, and you can see she respond in real time, you know, so yes, sure, she'll be happy to participate in this project, you know, so what I can do here is because I found someone that I like someone that was recommended, or communicated with this person using the chat, and I want to be able to find her again, you have the option to save this person to my team, you know, so I'm going to click on save to my team. And it's going to I'm going to confirm it. And now gate has been added to, to my team. So you can see as soon as I add someone to my team from the marketplace, you can actually add notes to the profile, this is going to be visible only to you and your colleagues. It's not going to be visible to the to the translator, but you could add notes for example, this person did a great job, you know, very reliable, responsible, you know, all those options can be listed here. And you can also list a client that this person worked with, which could be helpful when you're assigned tasks as well. So, um, now I found someone you know, I've added Kate to my to my team. And if I were to go back into my team, you know of team members, you will now see that Kate has actually been added you know, so you can see right now Kate is available. And then in my team him. And I can even see her workload. This is something that we added recently into SmartCAT, which is capacity management. And this allows you to see how much capacity someone has at the moment. You can see right now Kate is at 0% workload, so she's fully available for any type of projects. We have some translators right here, for example, Roxanna, she's at 92%. So if you were to assign a task to her, she might not be available at the moment. So you can see right now, Kate is added to my team, and I'll be able to assign tasks much easier for them, I will not have to look for her again. Now, to give you an idea of how tasks are assigned into SmartCAT, once I've added someone from the marketplace, I've created a simple project, you know, so you can see here that say, a small project, you know, that marketplace webinars, you can see now, that once the project has been created, another thing that we've also added into SmartCAT, is that we can, if you don't have already, someone selected from the marketplace, we don't have any one from your team, you know, SmartCAT on this overview page does suggest translators from the marketplace, that might actually match your document that you're translating, we're using a complex algorithm that runs in the background, you know, that looks through your through your document, and compares it to document that had been translated in the past by some of the translators in the marketplace. And we do then calculate a match, you know, between the transition that's been done in the past and new documents. And this algorithm also includes reviews that have been done for this translators is going to include like their ratings, you can see right now this person has a rating of 10, you know, and you see that football started to for English into Spanish, we have like three suggestions right here, and this documents goes into Portuguese. And you can see here, we also have people that have like some match 100% match, but also someone who's a 96% match, you know, it could be maybe because this person translated documents that were not exactly the same as the document that I'm trying to translate right now. And in addition, SmartCAT also shows you the potential costs for this task, and you can see this Disgust is going to be ready to the post editing rate for those finances. So you would not have a surprise, when you assign this task, you would already know, in general, like you know how much you could expect to pay for this task, you know, so from here, I could take directly invite someone into the task, or I could go into the task page, and then invite people to those different, different tasks. So you can see here SmartCAT is going to tell me here that have supplies needed, you know, for English into Spanish English into Portuguese, I can set specific deadlines for each of those tasks, I can just use the project deadline, and then I would click on the Invite button. And then what's going to happen SmartCAT is going to show me first of all those suggestions from the marketplace. And then it's going to show me also people that I have in my team, you know, that match the requirements, you know, so for example here, I want to try to find Kate, you know, so she's going to be listed right here, Kate can do the translation, you know, because I added her to my team, I'm going to click on, you know, this selection here, and I'm going to click on invite. And then a Kate is going to receive now a an invitation to start working on the project. Now on her side, she can accept the test, she can decline the test, you know, I'm going to know as a project manager, I'm going to see also the approximate cost of the transition right now, it's going to show me a approximate cost of nine euros and 50 cents. And you can see this items right here as change right now it says in progress, you know 0% That means that Kate has already accepted the task. And so again, you can see there is no need for you to communicate at all. And you can see she's already working. Kate is actually quite a fast worker. She's already 8.8 point 6% completed in the document and you can even see no go to the files. And you can see that you can track progress in real time. She's 25% completed, I can open the document here. And I can I can see Kate's progress in the in the document you can see where Kate is right now she's actually going pretty quickly into the document. And I can communicate with Kate directly into the into the comment into the editor by adding comments at the segment level or adding comments at the document level. So again, working with people in the marketplace is very similar to how you would work with people. You know, in your team. There is absolutely no burden on your side, you know to communicate, you can assign tasks you can see there was no need for me to send an email to this translator I was able to when I found her into the marketplace to communicate with her, you know on what she if she was available or not, you know, if she had any questions she could probably ask some of the questions Since, but, in fact, you know, so I was able to assign the tasks to her. And then she accepted the task, everything was done very seamlessly. And right now we can see that she's 100% completed, you know, so here, as a project manager, I have the option because I see that case is completely, I could go back and check on the file to see what the file looks like. But here where I can just go in here, and just mark the task as completed. And now, the project for Spanish, at least, the transition for Spanish, that was a very small file has been marked as completed. One of the benefits again, of using a platform like market to hire people in the marketplace is that the as you can see complete, seamless collaboration, communication, but also one of the other benefit is right now, because Kate completed a task for me, in SmartCAT, you know, you can see that this marketplace webinar project, you know, that she completed today. Now she can be paid using the platform as well in as you can see, right now, there is a payment task, you know, that's been created for Kate, you know, for nine euros and 50 cents, and I can simply select you know, the task for Kate, you know, the payment is not due just yet but click create an invoice and pay. And then I can just go to the invoice and pay this invoice. And Kate, you can see right now we're just waiting for payment. And Katie is going to be eventually paid, you know, I'm actually paying her in dollars, not in euros, so smart get into conversion automatically to show me dollar payments. So this is how SmartCAT actually can handle, you know, your projects, you can see, I was able to find Kate on the marketplace, I was able to communicate with her, I added her to my team to be able to find her. And then I was able to invite her to a task completely seamlessly without any without having to leave the platform. And at the end, I'm also available to pay her also without having to leave the platform. So those are really the seamless, you know, process that you have inside an application like SmartCAT when it comes to using people from the marketplace. Now, let's go back into an summarize a little bit what we what we've discussed here. So the question is that what do you want to use this market marketplace, so we show you like, you know, you go you're gonna go minimal manual labor administration as you so like, you know, finding people into the marketplace, very, very simple, just like you know, select you know, different criterias the languages, you know, the, the specialty, if needed, then all the communication happening to one place, you know, so you so that once I was into the into the SmartCAT application, I did not have to leave the application whatsoever to communicate with the freelancer, neither to like you know, during the project, so before the projects, everything can be done in the platform. And finally, we also have this single invoice payment, you know, so I don't have to, even if I hire like 510 1520 different translators to work on the single projects, there is no need for me to pay, like you know, to pay individual translators with one invoice everything can be done with that one single invoice you know, so that's really the benefits of a platform like SmartCAT. Now, we did not go in the editor. But in SmartCAT, UBC, we have QA features inside the editor that allows you to track like, you know, mistakes, by your possible mistakes by your freelancers, you can generate a QA report, that's going to show you the errors like can we check for a lot of different areas, I think there's about 30 of them. Punctuation, terminology, translation memory consistency. Now, also, when I was showing you the marketplace, you could see that once you use a translator from the marketplace, you are free to leave readings for those for this freelancer. And those readings are shared with other users, you know, so you saw that, for example, in the overview page, there were some suggestions of translators, and some people have like a 10, reading this reading this calculator. So we have an algorithm that runs in the background, calculate the number of reviews, you know, that have been left, you know, by the by the users, we track also on time delivery, responsiveness and different factors to generate this, this review, which can be very helpful for you to find translators, you know, to have actually good ratings, you know, so it's very transparent, and you have better chance to find someone that's going to match your requirements. And then finally, as I showed you from the marketplace page, you can also test vendors directly that they can create a test project when you can upload your own document, invite translators that match your criteria, your requirements, and then review the test. And if they pass the tests, based on your own internal ratings, you can simply add them to your team and use them for future projects, you know, so it gives you really a lot of confidence to go into the marketplace and find transceivers that do match the requirements that you have for quality for prices, you know, and for delivery. Now, also, another advantage of using an application like SmartCAT is because it's cloud based, no, all the data is centralized into a data center. In the case of SmartCAT. We are hosted on Amazon, AWS, they have lots of different security processes their backups, you know, so rather than working with a desktop application, where you might have to send files via email, and everything, you can centralize the data on smart get. And even if you find someone in the marketplace, someone that you've never worked with in the past, you don't have to worry about them actually, you know, using your data, you can prevent them from downloading data, and you know, that they don't have access to your translation memory, except for what they need during the transmission of the document. Also, you can also customize the access rights, you know, so when you add someone from the marketplace, the only access rights they have is as a linguist, you know, so they cannot access your account, they cannot download your data, they cannot make any changes to the projects, you can of course, invite people directly to your app to your account, you know, people that you trust, and give them the right to create projects, right to manage users, you know, so, and then internally, also, when you add people from, from the marketplace, you know, these people have signed, you know, Terms of Use Terms of Services, you know, so they have no disclosures agreement in place, you can, of course, if you want to ask them to sign additional document, you can also do that, but they are already under a nondisclosure and other policies, you know, signed in with market, so. And then the final thing that you can also achieve by using the marketplace is cost optimization, you know, so clearly, you're using a tool like SmartCAT, you want to benefit from the transition memory, the transition memory centralized, you know, so you're gonna get full benefits from the data centralization, optimize the the reuse of your of your transition memories, you can also combine this transition memories with machine translation, this is really what is going on right now for a lot of people, more and more people are migrating towards a process that's based around machine translation. But in a toolbox market to combine both of both technologies, the transition man with the machine translation, we even have custom empty to, to customize the the machine translation output based, for example, you terminology or what has been done in the past. And as you saw, when you access the marketplace, we also give you a lot of options when it comes to your budget, you know, so you might have some constraints, you know, some projects where you have, for example, a larger budget and, and some projects when you budget might be more constrained, but we give you all those options in the marketplace to find transit is at different price points, you know, so really, the marketplace really allows you to optimize your cost greatly like you know, so by reusing technology and also finding suppliers that match those requirements. Now, with the two lakhs market, you see that you can optimize your cost on the transmission side, you can also optimize your costs, as far as the project management is concerned. Now, you saw that communication in SmartCAT, is greatly simplified, no need to send emails, they need to make phone calls. So you're already saving time in project management. But what if I told you that you can even go a step further. And this is where actually we introduced the concept of autopilot. And before we go forward with describing what autopilot is, I'm going to show you quickly what autopilot does inside a inside your project. So if I were to go into the project that I created for, for this demonstration, I'm going to go into this project. This is a project you know that gate actually was finished, you can see here on the overview, I have an option to turn on what SmartCAT called autopilot. And this is a feature that was just introduced, like you know, six months ago, into the platform. If I were to click on this option right here, turn on autopilot. What's going to happen you can see right now that the system changes now everything is I mean, a lot of things can be automated, you can see, surprise direction is going to be automated. We like you know a lot of passes are going on, you know, and then we even give you an idea of the cost of the of the transition when you turn on autopilot. So I'm going to let my colleague Eugene, you know, who's the head of autopilot that's market give you more detailed information about SmartCAT about market autopilot, and I'm going to start the slideshow. So Eugene, the floor is yours and I'm going to start the first slide.

Eugene Li 24:52
Sure. Thank you so much, John Luke. So as we showed in the first part of the presentation, Spark is a very robust market. place where you are able to find freelancers that are fit exactly your needs, whether in terms of quality, their knowledge, or according to their budget. But if you're someone who has direct realization needs, or maybe you're someone who handles operations products directly, you probably have an idea that a typical localization project, it's so much more than just finding a freelancers, right, you need to think about the scope, you need to think about the assets to involve in the project. And once you assemble the team, you also need to constantly monitor the progress and also troubleshoot any any questions and issues that may arise during the actual work. And one, if you accumulate all of this, you realize that there's a lot of work to be done on the project, they can sometimes be daunting, maybe because there's just too much stuff to do. Or maybe you just don't have enough knowledge about the industry or practical knowledge about the position processes. And so it just feel it can feel sometimes a bit overwhelming. And this is why we at Mark had wanted to introduce this brand new feature called autopilot. So what is it in a sense, it's this feature that helps you automate the translation management process and takes up a lot of that project management burden off your shoulders. Basically, we provide everything you need. When it comes to translation on a turnkey basis, our goal is make sure that all you need to worry about is to provide the initial input, which is the initial materials, the initial scope, and then the specific instructions. And at the end, all you need to do is just come back when the project is ready when it's completed on time, and take your final results. So yeah, basically, we take care of that middle stage of like, between the initiation of the project and the project completion and handle it for you. So how exactly we achieved that. Next slide. A lot of this is based on the eight figure, yeah, a lot of this is based on the principles that Jonathan already explained in his explanation of the marketplace. So you probably already learned about the algorithms and AI logic that we use for the marketplace in terms of finding fitting freelancers, whether it's because they're highly rated, or because of the content differently than in the past, which results in a higher match rate relative to your particular project, we develop autopilot off of that principle. And that allows you to automate the supplier selection based on those requirements. So again, if you have a particular budget, you can have particular states subject matter, or you're looking for a particular like level of quality and you know, reputation of the translator, all of that goes into consideration when autopilot takes the freelancers. And once the Freelancers architect was there are some examples and assigned to the team. There, we take care of the monitoring staff. As I said, during the project, all sorts of issues can arise, whether that be questions or things not going according to the plan. This is what we internalize on our end and let you you know, worry less about these sorts of issues. We have a human team of CO pilots that monitor the project along with the automated process. And if there are any technical issues that arise arise in between, let's say, a linguist has connectivity issues, or they struggle to open a file or access the files, what would normally come to you as the end client now is internalized on SmartCAT. And we'll resolve those problems for you. So you don't need to worry about it. The only time when we might reach out to you is it's a question regarding the contents, for example, the team is interested in some more context, or wants to know the intended purpose of the translation. That's when we might reach out to you. But still, as you can figure out, it's a very low share of curious compared to a typical amount of correspondence that happens throughout the project. So yes, it is a automated process that is constantly monitored by human co pilot, and we're always there to help you. And I've emphasized more on questions coming from the project participants, but you as the owner of the project can also reach out to us with any questions in between whether it's because say you want to adjust the scope or you have any questions that arose during this process. We're here to help you as well on an ad hoc basis. Next slide. So, to sum it up, right, as I said, we are the main the main, you say mechanism behind the autopilot is the AI driven supplier selection, which shall be covered in more detail. We have 24/7 monitoring by the human team. So that makes sure that you know, as as much as we preach automation, we understand that, you know, there's translation and localization projects that can be met very newest. There are lots of variables and those needs a bit of a human touch to make sure that they're executed properly, which is why we're always there to keep an eye and keep you informed. And of course we're still cook were committed to the same levels of quality as if it was your own project. So we guarantee you translations completed on time within the budget and to your desired quality level, which is accompanied by our lifetime translation guarantee and the Integrated Test testing of vendors. And finally, this is a bit of a bit of an advanced topic, if you're not familiar with this, but all of your translations performed on the SmartCAT can be saved for future reuse, say, if you have like content that is similar or repetitive, all of that is saved and can be reused for future purposes, and autopilot takes care of that as well. So it is a we actively manage your resources and assets. So if in the future, you want to make some adjustments to past translations, to make sure that they are properly reused on your future projects, that is something that we keep an eye on and can assist us as well. And finally, to just demonstrate you some of the achievements of autopilot in numbers, we surveyed our current users and they expressed that on average, they experience about 20 to 50% reduction in their project management costs, which makes sense, because as I said, a lot of those of that work is now internalized by this features. So a lot of the burden and time investment is taken off your shoulders. As users of the autopilot, of course, you get to enjoy the full scope of our marketplace, which includes over 500,000, freelancers and translation agencies. On average, once you create a project and enable autopilot, it gets attended within two to 15 minutes. So there is no loss of time associated with the use of this feature. And again, as we said, our human team is there to keep an eye on these projects and assist you around the clock. So you can be assured that no project will be left unattended and you know, without proper attention and care. So this is just yet the quick rundown of the autopilot function, which is yes, goes hand in hand with our marketplace. And from here, you have any questions? Were really happy to answer them. Or? Yeah, I guess, Kate, you can probably coordinate this process, right, whether it's white people raising hands over typing in chat.

Kate Vostokova 32:19
Yeah, sure. Well, we don't have yet any questions, just the commands that there was some noise on your side when you're talking. I also heard some noises. It wasn't very strong. But yeah, could be disturbing for someone. But actually, yes, I want to ask our attendees like what do they think about marketplace? And maybe they want to share their experience? Maybe you you had any challenges using it? And that's why you are here today? Or maybe you haven't even tried it yet? Would be Yeah, would be great to hear something from you. Please raise your hand, and I can turn on your microphone and you can speak or send your messages to the chat.

Jean-Luc Saillard 33:06
Or maybe a case may be the reason why someone has not tried the marketplace yet, you know, so what did they find? You know, where were the concerns about the marketplace that maybe we haven't addressed in this in this presentation?

Kate Vostokova 33:21
Yes, yes. But anyway, we need some, some respond to understand that from from our audience. So please do let us know what you Yeah. What was your experience? Maybe? Yes, we haven't covered some parts of it would be glad to show you it right now. No, not anyone. Well, I hope that this means that everything was clear. And yeah, if so then I don't know John, Luke, Eugene, maybe you have some like last few words.

Jean-Luc Saillard 34:07
I think it is a question from Sarah. So Sarah is asking if I need someone to proofread a project, can they view it in original form like PowerPoint in marketplace. So Sarah is actually in SmartCAT we give you the workflow can include tasks that can be completed in the editor, for example, like you want to translate directly that this PowerPoint file, but we also give you the option to add a task that can that are that can be done outside of the editor. So for example, you could assign that PowerPoint document to someone to translate. Once the transition has been completed, you can assign where like, you know, layout check, you know, for example to someone else, and you'll be able to download the translated Powerpoint file, make whatever changes they wanted to the PowerPoint document, and then re upload this corrected PowerPoint document back into your app. But into your account, you know, so that could be, this is a task that can be assigned into the marketplace. You could assign tasks like, for example, desktop publishing, also in the marketplace. And there's multiple ways that you can create workflows around you need, you know, either transition direct transition needs or in this case, it could be reviewing the formatting, or reviewing the document after has been translated. There are many, many ways to, to work with SmartCAT. Hopefully that answered your question, sir.

Kate Vostokova 35:36
Yes, Marsha

Jean-Luc Saillard 35:37
says yes. And then Sarah, if you if you're interested, you can obviously contact us, you know, so our email address I think was at the beginning of the

Kate Vostokova 35:46
presentation. Last slide. So we should just move it to the next slide. There will be your contacts.

Jean-Luc Saillard 35:52
Yeah, exactly. So feel free Sera, if you have any questions to contact us via email, you know, myself or Eugene, and we'll be more than happy to create it to provide you with a demo of how this could be implemented.
